We are the White Sands Primary School Alumni (:

Formed in 2007, we aim to gather ex-WSPS students & have fun together through working on projects aimed at helping the school.
Of course, we hope to reunite old schoolmates, form friendships between seniors & juniors, & allow them to enjoy time together via our various events for the Alumni each year (:
Step into White Sands Primary School grounds on a different level this time!
Not as students, but as seniors (:
Expect exciting events for you to join & plan :D
We promise you it's going to be a different experience, & a good one!

(Ignite!)2 Applications [Apr. 18th, 2010|11:40 am]
Hi most of you should have settled into your secondary school lives by now, so you should be able to gauge if you are able to balance your time with alumni activities!
The Alumni is thinking of having a 3D2N camp in the June holidays for students interested in joining the Alumni Committee (http://thewspsalumni.livejournal.com/4872.html#cutid1) so I'd like to get a rough response regarding your interest in this. Do click on "Leave a comment" and indicate your response. Please let your friends know about this thank you so much! :D

Do indicate whether you are interested in being a camp facilitator or participant. This camp is aimed at students who are confident of leading the Alumni Committee and running the Alumni Executive Committee alongside other passionate alumni.

Exco applications are welcome as well, but do take note that you should be attending the camp for us to get to know you better (:

By joining the Alumni Committee, you will be able to build up a strong portfolio and earn CIP points for your testimonial! You will also be able to gain significant experience that will help you in your future leadership ventures.

You are strongly encouraged to come down for this camp (date and time to be confirmed later) especially if you are 15 and above this year! We welcome alumni of other ages too. We are looking for people who are able to commit some time to the Alumni, but don't worry if you don't feel confident enough! Come down & see if this is what you were made for(:

(Ignite!)2

Selected leaders will be involved in the planning, coordinating and executing of this 3D2N Alumni Camp. Their valuable experience can be shared easily as the age gap is now greatly reduced.
It will be an activity-based training for all participants. Apart from sessions that encourage bonding and teamwork, there will also be sharing sessions whereby participants will discuss issues regarding the Alumni and come up with proposals for future events.
Common leadership tasks such as preparing an agenda, writing minutes, chairing a meeting and writing proposals will be taught across the board so as to give the participants an idea of what is expected of them when they take up leadership posts.

The cornerstones of the camp are its core values which emphasize on active contributions, teamwork and learning.
(Ignite!)2 will be a journey of self-discovery for both participants and facilitators.

As camp facilitators, you will:
Help participants unleash their potential
Inspire and encourage participants
Earn CIP points and potential testimonials for your portfolio.
